About Mercado

Mercado started as a small idea — a corner of West Didsbury where you could get a proper cortado in the morning, settle in with a glass of natural wine in the afternoon, and share Mediterranean and Latin American plates with friends after dark.

Two sites, one philosophy: honest food, generous hospitality, and the kind of room you don't want to leave. We're proud to have been named England's Best Café 2025 — but more proud of the locals who treat the place like a second living room.
